It’s that time of year – the holidays have come and gone and our focus turns to the New Year. As we look back on 2016, we’re proud of the things we accomplished:
- Over 200,000 patients served in three states
- Nearly 10,000 patients getting the care they need through the PERFECT TEETH Dental Plan
- The opening of our new office in Commerce City, Colorado
- Participation in over 100 community events
But the accomplishment we’re most proud of? The pro bono dentistry our teams provided through PERFECT TEETH Gives
PERFECT TEETH Gives is an ongoing program made possible by community-based partnerships with agencies such as Jeffco Prosperity Project in Jefferson County, Colorado, the Denver County Veterans Service Office in Denver, Colorado, and the Boulder County Housing & Human Services in Boulder, Colorado. Community partners assist by identifying local patients with financial need who are also in need of dental care.
How Have We Helped?
Since inception in September 2014, PERFECT TEETH Gives has donated nearly $300,000 of dental care to over 150 individuals in need, including veterans, single moms, families living in poverty and seniors. That dental care has included standard checks ups, x-rays, preventative care, oral surgery, root canals, even dentures, all depending on the needs of the patient.
Our teams have been incredibly touched by the people they have helped and the impact they have made in the recipients’ lives. Take for example the veteran who got brand new dentures and could smile for the first time in years or the senior who hadn’t been to the dentist in years because it wasn’t in her budget.
This year, our teams donated nearly $70,000 in free dental care to 30 individuals. While impressive, it’s far from our goal of taking care of the dental needs of 135 patients annually. We look forward to the new year and the opportunity to build additional partnerships in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona ultimately allowing us to assist even more people in need.
