Toothache Advice for National Toothache Day

By PERFECT TEETH | Dentistry | No Comments

February 9th is National Toothache Day. The origin of National Toothache Day is unknown. Some people say it’s because February 9th is the day that the Hershey Candy Company was founded. Other people say it’s because February 9th is The Feast of St. Apollonia (the Patron Saint of Dentistry). We suspect that it was probably initiated by a wise dentist who wanted to bring attention to this common and painful affliction.

If you have a toothache right now, you’re probably not in the mood for celebrating this national “holiday.” You’re probably shying away from your morning coffee, holding your face in your hands, and wondering, “Why do my teeth hurt?” In fact, your toothache might be ruining your whole day. Toothaches aren’t always serious, but they are most often a sign that something is wrong with your teeth or gums. Symptoms include: Continue reading…

What’s the Correct Way to Brush My Teeth?

By PERFECT TEETH | Smile | No Comments

Anyone who has ever watched a seven-year-old brush their teeth knows there is definitely a wrong way to brush teeth. You might even know a grown-up or two who doesn’t know the correct way to brush teeth.

It seems like such a simple task, yet mistakes are common. Maybe you don’t brush long or often enough. Your toothbrush might be too hard or too old. What to do in a Dental Emergency

By PERFECT TEETH | Dentistry | No Comments

You’re chatting with other parents while the kids are having fun in the bouncy castle. All of a sudden, everyone is looking at you and you can hear the unmistakable sound of your son sobbing in pain.
